Pixel Santa
For this tut you will need

Welcome to my "Santa" pixel tut
I put everything on it's own layer so you can go back and change colors if you wish
I zoom by 2 or 3 times
makes it little easier on the eyes
start by opening the Santa Canvas's in the zip
on it you will find all the layers and the color pallet
have your layer pallet open
the way we will be doing this is to click on one of the outline layers that I have made
and load the selection from alpha channel
then click inside all the parts you outlined with your magic wand
************NOTE************
when you click inside an image with the magic wand, hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
use settings as follows
now click on the color layer
fill with color
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
and apply the following drop shadow
it will always be the same unless I tell you to change the blur
the shadow color will be the outline color
please feel free to do this any way you are most comfortable doing it
don't forget to save your work
OK lets get started!
open up the "Santa Canvas" that is in the zip
everything you need for this tut is on there
click on 01 boot outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
use your airbrush with setting below
fill with color # 7
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on boot color layer
fill with color # 8
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 7
deselect
click on boot shine layer
load selection from alpha channel
(it's way down bottom in alpha channel)
use your flood fill tool
fill with white
deselect
turn off all layers but these 3
merge layers visible
rename boot
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 02 hat_coat_pants_gloves outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 1
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the hat_coat_pants_gloves
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on hat_coat_pants_gloves color layer
fill with color # 2
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 1
deselect
turn off all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename hat_coat_pants_gloves
turn this layer OFF
turn your color pallet layer back ON
don't forget to save your work
click on 03 fur outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 5
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the fur
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on fur color layer
fill with color # 6
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 5
deselect
turn off all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename fur
turn this layer OFF
turn your color pallet layer back ON
don't forget to save your work
click on 04 face outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 9
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the face
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on face color layer
fill with color #10
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 9
deselect
click on 05 beard_eyebrow outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 11
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the beard_eyebrow
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on beard_eyebrow color layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 12
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 11
deselect
click on 06 mouth layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 1
click on 07 eye
load selection from alpha channel
fill with black
turn off all layers but these 6
merge layers visible
rename face
turn this layer OFF
turn your color pallet layer back ON
don't forget to save your work
click on 08 bag outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 3
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the bag
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on bag color layer
fill with color # 4
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 3
deselect
turn off all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename bag
don't forget to save your work
turn all your layers back on
merge visible and save in PSP format for later use
