Pixel~Elf and Teddy
For this tut you will need

Welcome to my "Elf and Teddy" pixel tut
I put everything on it's own layer so you can go back and change colors if you wish
I zoom by 2 or 3 times
makes it little easier on the eyes
use your airbrush with these settings
start by opening the Elf and Teddy Canvas in the zip
on it you will find all the layers and the color pallet
have your layer pallet open
the way we will be doing this is to click on one of the outline layers that I have made
and load the selection from alpha channel
then click inside all the parts you outlined with your magic wand
************NOTE************
when you click inside an image with the magic wand, hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
use settings as follows
now click on the color layer
fill with color
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
and apply the following drop shadow
it will always be the same unless I tell you to change the blur
the shadow color will be the outline color
please feel free to do this any way you are most comfortable doing it
don't forget to save your work
OK lets get started!
click on 01 stool outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 7
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the stool outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on stool color layer
fill with color # 8
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 7
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these
merge layers visible
rename stool
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 02 needle
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 11
don't forget to save your work
click on 03 elf face _ hands outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 1
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the elf face _ hands outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on elf face _ hands color layer
fill with color # 2
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 1
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these
merge layers visible
rename elf face _ hands
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 04 bear outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 1
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the bear outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on bear color layer
fill with color # 2
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 1
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these
merge layers visible
rename bear
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 04 bow outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 3
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the bow outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on bow color layer
fill with color # 4
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 3
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these
merge layers visible
rename bow
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 06 elf hat outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 5
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the elf hat outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on elf hat color layer
fill with color # 6
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 5
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename elf hat
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 07 elf eye layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color black
don't forget to save your work
click on 08 elf eye color layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 5
don't forget to save your work
click on 09 elf eye white layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with white
don't forget to save your work
click on 10 elf pant red outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 3
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the elf pant red outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on elf pant red color layer
fill with color # 4
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 3
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename elf pant red
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 10 elf pant green outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 5
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the elf pant red outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on elf pant green color layer
fill with color # 6
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 5
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename elf pant green
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 11 bear inner ear_foot_hand_nose outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color #7
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the 1ear_foot_hand_nose outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on bear inner ear_foot_hand_nose color layer
fill with color # 8
apply following fine leather with these settings
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename bear inner ear_foot_hand_nose
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 13 nose shine
load selection from alpha channel
fill with white
click on 14 bear eyes layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with black
click on 15 bear eyes white
load selection from alpha channel
fill with white
turn OFF all layers but these 4 layers
merge layers visible
rename bear inner ear_foot_hand_nose
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 16 elf shirt outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 9
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the 16 elf shirt outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on elf shirt color layer
fill with color # 10
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 9
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename elf shirt
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 17 elf cuffs_collar outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 11
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the 16 elf shirt outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on elf cuffs_collar color layer
fill with color # 12
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 11
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename elf cuffs_collar
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work

click on 18 elf hair outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 15
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the 18 elf hair outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on elf hair color layer
fill with color # 14
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 15
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename elf hair
turn this layer OFF
turn on your color pallet layer
don't forget to save your work
click on 19 elf shoe outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 9
click inside with your magic wand all sections of the 19 elf shoe outline
hold down the shift key to select multiple areas
then click on elf shoe color layer
fill with color # 10
selection select all
selection float
selection invert
apply inverted drop shadow if you wish
shadow color is # 9
deselect
turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge layers visible
rename elf shoe
turn all layers back on
you can delete color pallet layer
save in PSP format for later use
this is your finished image
or something close to it I hope............lol
