Pixel Angel

For this tut you will need

Welcome to my "Angel" pixel tut

I put everything on it's own layer so you can go back and change colors or what ever

I zoom by 2 or 3 times
makes it little easier on the eyes

start by opening the Angel Canvas's in the zip
on it you will find all the layers and the color pallet

have your layer pallet open

the way we will be doing this is to click on one of the outline layers that I have made
and load the selection from alpha channel
then click inside with your magic wand and flood fill
float the selection
invert the selection and apply the following drop shadow


it will always be the same unless I tell u to change the blur
the shadow color will be the outline color
please feel free to do this any way you are most comfortable doing it

don't forget to save your work




OK lets get started

click on 01 wing outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
using your airbrush with the following settings

fill with color # 9
deselect and save


click inside all wing sections
click on 02 wing fill layer
fill with color # 10
selections select all
selection float
selection invert
apply drop shadow
shadow color # 9
deselect and save

turn OFF all layers but these 2 and
merge these layers visible rename wing
turn on your color pallet layer
deselect and save

click on 03 hair outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 5

click inside all sections of the hair
click on 04 hair fill layer
fill with color # 6
selections select all
selection float
selection invert
apply drop shadow
shadow color # 5
deselect and save

turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge these layers visible rename hair
turn on your color pallet layer
deselect and save


click on 05 dress outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 1

click inside all sections of the dress
click on dress fill layer
fill with color # 2
selections select all
selection float
selection invert
apply drop shadow
shadow color # 1
deselect and save

turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge these layers visible rename dress
turn on your color pallet layer
deselect and save


click on 07 collar_ruffel_cuffs outline layer
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 5
click inside all collar_ruffel_cuffs sections
click on 08 collar_ruffel_cuffs fill layer
fill with color # 6

selections select all
selection float
selection invert
apply drop shadow
shadow color # 5
deselect and save

turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge these layers visible rename collar_ruffel_cuffs
turn on your color pallet layer
deselect and save


click on 09 hands and face outline
load selection from alpha channel
fill with color # 7

click inside all sections of hands and face
click on 10 hands and face color layer
fill with color # 8
selections select all
selection float
selection invert
apply drop shadow
shadow color # 7
deselect and save
click on 11 facial features layer
load selection from alpha channel
using paint brush with these settings


fill in eyes with color # 11
fill in mouth with color # 12
deselect and save

turn OFF all layers but these 2
merge these layers visible rename hands and face
turn on your color pallet layer
deselect and save

now you can delete the color pallet layer
layers merge visible and save in PSP format for later use
